1998 - This series of porcelain pots features a smooth, sleek interior and an organically shaped exterior. The outer surface of these pots hovers just above the surface, giving them a distinctive appearance. Porcelain tends to deform during the firing process in the kiln. The final shape of each individual pot is determined by this principle. While the outer forms of the pot are supported during firing, the shrinking of the clay (more than 10%) causes these forms to shift irregularly, resulting in unique shapes. Both low and tall versions of these pots have been created.
